The Downtown Calhoun Downtown Development Authority (DDA) works to revitalize, support, and activate Calhoun’s historic downtown as a thriving economic and cultural center for the community. Guided by the Georgia Main Street and Main Street America framework, our work is rooted in a comprehensive, place-based approach to downtown development—one that strengthens local businesses, preserves historic character, and fosters a welcoming, connected district.

We focus on creating a strong downtown economy by supporting entrepreneurs, property owners, and small businesses through business assistance, promotion, and strategic initiatives that encourage investment and long-term sustainability. At the same time, we prioritize historic preservation and thoughtful design to ensure that downtown Calhoun’s unique character is protected while adapting to today’s needs.
